Grace Marie Hazelwood

On November 10th, 2023, Grace "Marie" Hazelwood sprinted to Heaven's pearly gates after eighty-six years in her earthly body. It is in heaven where she now joins many of her friends, her husband Cecil, her mother Ova, and her Lord & Savior Jesus who are all welcoming her home with open arms.

Marie is survived by her large and treasured family. Marie is the oldest of her four siblings Tony (Ann) Jones, Phyllis Sims, Linda Lohorn, and Christine Bennett. Marie has three loved children, Keith (Janet) Hazelwood, Kim (Bobby) Ramhofer, and Kent (Sherri) Hazelwood. Marie has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren whom she cherished dearly. While she will be deeply missed by her family here on earth, we are all happy to know she is no longer bound by the struggles of her earthly body.

Marie made a lasting impact on her community through twenty-seven years working in the Charlotte County School system and through the forty-nine years she attended First Alliance Church in Port Charlotte.

Marie would not want us to be crippled by her death but would rather us all celebrate her life and rejoice over the new life she now has in Heaven with Jesus.

Thank you, Marie, for the impact you made on us all and for the many years your strength held your family together. We are so thankful you now get to rest.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 11am at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, located at 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
