Born and raised in Brockton, MA, she was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1938. After graduation, she met her husband to be "Dunna" at Brockton Business School where they both were students. Married in 1941, they were blessed to have 70 1/2 years together. In 1980 they moved to Florida to enjoy their retirement years.
In 1986 they moved into a new home in Venice, where Hazel enjoyed dancing at the Englewood Elks Club and playing cards with her Hourglass neighborhood women's group.
Survivors include her cherished family, son Donald and "daughter" Gail Miller of Middleboro, MA; her grandson, Chris and wife Yvonne Miller and family, Josh, Meagan and Ryan of Gilbert, AZ; her granddaughter, Cheryl Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL; great grandchildren, Jake and Hailie Miller; sister, Viola Leonard of Lake Placid, FL; and nieces, Debbie Colby of Florida and Sandy Alty of MA.
