Jack R. Stanley, 59, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away June 10, 2010. He was born November 28, 1950 to John and Gladys Stanley in Rochester, NY. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for GM for twenty years before working with Peko Precision. He retired and moved to Punta Gorda ten years ago from Rochester. Jack attended San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte and was a member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Rochester, NY. He enjoyed boating and scuba diving and was a Corvette/Camero car enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Stanley of Punta Gorda, FL; his children, Kristin (Jason) Clippert of Rochester Hills, MI and Jon (Melinda) Stanley of Sterling Heights, MI; grandchildren, Caden, London, Ireland, Kinsey and India; sister, Nancy (Doug) Kinslow of Rochester, NY; sister-in-laws, Cecelia (Gene) Sommers of Fairport, NY and Yvonne (Ken) Yockel of Penfield, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday June 14, 2010 at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jack be made to Living Waters Ministries at livingwatermin.org or to Tidewell Hospice at tidewell.org, both organizations important to the family.
