It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jacqueline Christine Faulk, affectionately known as Jackie, on April 22, 2024. Born on November 21, 1988, in Ft. Myers, FL, Jackie was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her and she departed this life in the same city that she first called home.
Jackie was the beloved daughter of John and Patricia Faulk. She grew up alongside her devoted sisters, Melissa (Billy) Czahor and Angela (Paul) Cerce. Her role as an aunt was one she cherished deeply, showering nephews Michael and Matthew Menon with love and affection. Jackie's family circle extended to include her treasured cat, Ayer, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A brilliant mind and a determined spirit, Jackie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Charlotte High School, where she first showcased her talent for tennis. Her academic excellence continued at Stetson University, where she consistently made the dean's list and excelled as a Division I tennis player. She went on to further her education with postgraduate studies at the University of Arizona, preparing herself for a future as bright as her smile.
Jackie's passion for tennis was evident from a young age. A lifelong player, she won three district championships in singles, and her prowess on the court led her to the State championships where she finished second. As a coach at Charlotte Prep Academy, Jackie instilled her love of the game in the next generation of players, sharing not only her skills but also her unwavering sportsmanship and joy for life.
Beyond the tennis court, Jackie was a loving sister and friend who always carried a smile on her face. She had the remarkable ability to find the good in everything and everyone, a trait that drew people to her. Her love for literature was vast, with a particular fondness for the imaginative worlds of "Lord of the Rings," "Harry Potter," and the profound works of Virginia Woolf. In her downtime, Jackie could often be found immersed in the latest video game, a pastime that brought her immense joy.
Those who knew Jackie would describe her as loving, friendly, and intelligent. She was a beacon of positivity, her presence a comforting and uplifting force. As Virginia Woolf once wrote, "You cannot find peace by avoiding life," a quote that Jackie embodied fully by embracing every moment with enthusiasm and grace.
Jackie's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and the memories cherished by her loved ones. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind.
As we bid farewell to Jacqueline Christine Faulk, we reflect on a life that, though cut short, was lived to the fullest. Jackie's journey on this earth was a testament to the beauty of a soul that loved deeply, played passionately, and smiled contagiously. She will be forever remembered and forever missed.
A memorial service will take place at Lake Betty Park on Conway Blvd, May 4th at 10a.m.
