James W. "Bucky" Fields

He was born on February 27, 1921 in Taylorstown , PA, and came to

Port Charlotte, Florida from New Castle, PA in 1980.James was a veteran

of WW-II, serving in the European Theatre, where he received the Purple

Heart with cluster. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 0907

in Taylorstown, PA and a DAV member of Chapter C- Gustafson # 94.

He is survived by his son, Jim Fields of Crystal River, FL, his 3 daughters,

Becky Clifton of Crystal River, FL, Patty Smith ( Mike ) of Homosassa, FL

and Betty Touchton (Tommy) of Inglis, FL; step daughter, Fran Stevens (Jim)

of Punta Gorda, FL.; stepson, Charles Anderson (Linda) of Edinberg, PA,

several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in

death by his wife, Gladys; his son, Bobby Fields, his stepson, Howard Anderson,

his sisters, Georgia Crowe, Nora McCartney and Ruby Jones; his parents, James

Warren and Dora Adams.

Visitation Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at

Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, FL.

Funeral Services Thursday October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral home. Interment will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with

Military Honors.
