He was born Feb. 1, 1992, the beloved son of Douglas and Patricia
Radish.
Jordan was a searcher, who was happiest experiencing and learning as
much as possible about the world, on both the spiritual and intellectual
planes. A senior at Port Charlotte High School, Jordan was an international
champion on the school¹s award-winning Model United Nations team. In the
aftermath of Katrina, he gave back to those in need by painting houses,
mowing lawns and being of service on several mission trips to Louisiana. In
addition, he played with the Sarasota Orchestra Youth Philharmonic as
principal oboe; he was privileged to perform with the group at Carnegie Hall
in 2008. Jordan lived his life intensely, with great passion and conviction,
and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his parents; siblings, Megan and Logan Radish;
grandmothers, Roberta Suboter and Joan Buttery; aunts, Catherine Nielsen and
Joyce Cross; uncles, Randy Radish, Gary Radish and Robert Buttery; and his
cousins, Melanie Cross, Ryan Radish, Evan Radish and Jason Radish.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec.
19, 2009 at Saint James Episcopal Church, 1365 Viscaya Drive, Port
Charlotte. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made
