Joseph S. Judy, 79, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away October 22, 2009. He was born July 19, 1930 in Louisville, KY and moved to this area in 1974 from Markham, IL. He served during the Korean War in the US Air Force. He was a Sargent I/C with the 434 th Tactical Air Command and was the Deputy Director of Civic Defense in Markham, IL. In IL, he had been an Electrician for the IL Central Railroad. Locally, he had worked as an Electrian for St Joseph's Hospital, retiring in 1982.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Margaret Judy of Punta Gorda; son, James Shroyer of North Port, FL; daughters, BetteMarie Judy and Joanne Wagner both of Pt Charlotte, FL; Shari Harris and her husband Roger of Charlotte Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Farrah, Derek, Lisa and Deven; great grandchildren, Madison, Zane and Joslyn. He was pre deceased by his great granddaughter, Graysen on Dec 31, 2008.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 pm, Tuesday October 27, 2009 at the Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League, 3519 Drance St, Pt Charlotte, FL 33980 as Mr Judy loved cats.
