Josephine Jo Ada Vance, 90, of Punta Gorda, FL died July 9, 2007. She was born August 17, 1916 in Fostoria, Ohio to Asa and Aurelia Woodruff Mann. Jo graduated from the Toledo Hospital Nursing School in 1938 and spent her career working as a Registered Nurse at the Fostoria City Hospital. She retired in 1973. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fostoria and was a member of the Eastern Star. She and her husband moved to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1985.
She is survived by her children, James Julie Vance of Crossville, TN; Jane Terry Cook of Findlay, OH and Amy Eric Harrison of Arcadia, FL; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by her husband, Nathan D. Vance and sons, Richard and Shane Vance.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, 407 S. Countyline Street, Fostoria, OH 44830 later this month. Inurnment will be at the Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria, Ohio.
