Larry Ireland, 66, of Englewood, FL, since 1972, formerly of St. Paris, OH, passed away after a long battle with cancer surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife and best friend Betty of 46 years, daughter Trish (Terry) Meiser of Englewood, son Todd (Fran) of Raleigh, NC, and grandchildren, Shelby, Cody (Dakota) Meiser and Adam Ireland. Also his mother Pauline, and sister Shirley (Larry) Duer all of North Port, FL. Preceded in death were his father Edwin and nephew Mark.
Larry founded Ireland Plumbing in 1974, and operated it until he retired in 2001; it continues to be a family owned business. Larry was a devoted husband, father and role model to his kids. Larry's passions were camping, the north Georgia mountains, golf and spending time with family and many friends made along life's journey.
