MaryEllen Tyler Post was taken from us by cancer on August 24, 2008. She was born July 27, 1940 in Kirkwood NY to Howard and Mildred Tyler. MaryEllen worked for Dover Corp a division of IBM for 12 years. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1993 and worked at Publix Peachland store for 14 years. MaryEllen enjoyed helping the people she met each day with a smile and kind thought. Her family and many friends will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her son, S.Blair Karen Post of Venice FL and son Jeffrey Post of New Milford PA; three grandchildren, Evan, Adam and Megan. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Edward, who lost his battle with cancer on July 30, 2008. She was also predeceased by her brother Richard.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm, Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Kays, Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. The Celebration of Life Service for Edward and Maryellen will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with the Rev Ralph Burton officiating. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the Tidewell Hospice, 917 N Arcadia Ave, Arcadia FL 34266 where was cared for with kindness and respect.
