Alexander was born and raised in Port Charlotte, Florida on June 11, 1997, to Jennifer Kay Bear- Scott and Thomas Martin Scott. He passed away suddenly on August 22nd, 2015. He was a legacy member of the Port Charlotte High School family, where he had just started his senior year. He also attended St. Charles Borromeo and Kingsway Elementary. It was his intention to attend college and deepest desire to join the military.
Alexander was very active in many various activities. He was a cub scout, he volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol, and flew many times with the E.A.A. Young Eagles at the Punta Gorda Airport where he developed his love of flying. He played T-ball, and earned many belts at Shuman’s Tae Kwon Do. He was a member of the St. Charles Basketball Team. When he was attending St. Charles School, he learned about God and developed a special relationship with Him. He learned about how Mass worked, and began a long career as an Alter Server, where he was often seen at the 7 AM Sunday Mass as well as serving for other special Masses. Alex also was a member of the Charlotte County Teen Court, where he served as a clerk and a juror for four years. Alexander was most proud of his time spent with the Port Charlotte High School N.J.R.O.T.C., where he found friends and learned about the military that he so wanted to join. Alexander volunteered to work on many details, and was proud of wearing the uniform.
Alexander loved video games, being on the computer, Marvel Comic Books, and all things military. He loved to be on the boat, camping, the beach and being with his family. He enjoyed going to the movies, and went to the mall and movies at least weekly. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, and a gentle friend to all who knew him. He loved his kitten, Domino, his dog Copernicus, and the cats Mumu and Amadeus, and they miss him very much. Despite the limitations that living with his medical issues presented him, he made the most of it and lived as full of a life as he could. He had just received his learners permit and looked forward to getting a job and buying a truck or motorcycle.
He is survived by his loving family; his father, Thomas Martin Scott, his mother, Jennifer Kay Scott, his sister, Amanda Bryanna Scott, his maternal grandparents, Cynthia Porter- Bear of Bound brook, New Jersey, and Thomas Bear Sr. and Shirley Bear of North Port, Florida, his paternal grandfather, Donald Scott of Port Charlotte, FL, his Uncle T.A.
