was born on January 26, 1926 in New York and came to this
area in 1989 from Shirley, New York. He worked for the Suffolk
County Maintenance Department for the State of New York. He
was a Lifetime member of the Brookhaven Fire Department in
New York and was a member of the V.F.W. He was a veteran of
WWII serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his two daughters, Vita Ruquet and Susan Anne Mattucci; three grandchildren, Frank Ruquet, Joanne Cutler, Joseph Vitale; nine great grandchildren, Frank, Justin, Matthew, Anthony and Kimberly Ruquet, Elizabeth Cutler, Justin Powell, David and Stephanie Garcia, two great great grandchildren, Hailee, and Thomas.
