
Richard �"Dickie†Parks 66, of Englewood, Florida died September 6, 2015. He was born September 2, 1949 in Sarasota, Florida to Levoid and Katherine Anderson Parks, he lived most of his life in Englewood FL. He attended school in Englewood and Venice FL.
Well known in the area as a musician and master percussionist, he played with local bands including the Outlaws, Gents, Rogues, Tropic and Two’s Company. In California, he sat in with groups such as the Grass Roots.
In recent years he chartered with Captain Jack’s Charters on the Reef Raider out of the Englewood Bait House. He spent many happy early mornings with the �"coffee crew†there.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Dove Parks, his daughter Lisa Parks Boyden, sons, Casey, Dennis and Toby Parks, and sister Janice Parks Alston, six grandchildren and one great grandson, three nieces, and two nephews, and many cousins and friends. Richard was predeceased by his Parents and older Brother, Chip Parks.
