Robert E. Schaar

Charlotte, Florida.

He was born on March 10, 1933 in Clayton, Ohio to Herman Schaar and

Adeline White Schaar. He came to Port Charlotte, Florida from Arcanum,

Ohio in1983. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post # 110 of

Port Charlotte, Florida and a past member of the North Port Moose Lodge

He was a US Marine serving in the Korean War from 1952 until 1958.

Survivors include his wife, Rozenna of 51 years of Port Charlotte, Florida: his

Son, Randy Schaar of Orlando, Florida and his daughter, Bonnie Schaar of

Port Charlotte, Florida: his 1 brother, William "Shorty" and wife Geraldine of

Arcanum, Ohio: 5 sister-in- laws, Janice Schaar of Arcanum, Ohio and Ethel

Schaar of Lewisburg, Ohio, Vontilla (Lou) Durko of Englewood, Ohio, Marieda

(Eugene) Stephenson of Orange City, Florida. Theola Warner (Leroy Romer)

of Kettering, Ohio and Brother-in-law, Darwin (Judy) Shelton of Cartersville,

Georgia and adopted brother, Dwight Ressler of Arcanum, Ohio. He was

Preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Donald and Jimmy Lee Schaar

Visitation Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Kays-Ponger &

Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Services and

burial will be in Arcanum, Ohio.
