Robert L. Weeks, 84, of Venice, Florida died Thursday February 3, 2011. Mr. Weeks was born April 10, 1926 in Northfield, Connecticut to Treadwell F. and Elizabeth Agnes (Osborn) Weeks. For many years he was self employed as a carpenter and home builder in Thomaston, Connecticut before retiring and moving to Florida in 1970. He built his first home at the age of 22. Mr. Weeks was past president of the Lions Club in Thomaston and a member of the Union Builders Associations of Bristol, Connecticut. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl I. Weeks of Venice; daughter, Kathleen I. (Michael) Martone of Thomaston, CT; grandsons, Michael E. Martone, III of Thomaston, CT and Patrick R. Martone of Watertown, CT; sisters, Elisabeth Newton of Torrington, CT and Margorie Voshell of Camden, DE; brothers, Treadwell F. Weeks of Carlsbad, CA; Burtis E. Weeks of Northfield, CT; Richard R. Weeks of Thomaston, CT; Arthur A. Weeks, Walter M. Weeks and Henry Weeks all of Camden, DE.
