Roger D. Eberly

Roger D. Eberly, 77, of Englewood, FL passed away Friday, September 21, 2012. Roger was born March 26, 1935 in Lansing MI son of Hilton and Fern Eberly. He was a graduate of Michigan State University class of 1958 where he met and married his wife of 53 years, Sandra L Fenner of Martin, MI. As a dedicated employee with Gulf Oil Corp. for 31 years then CN Brown Oil for another 7, he and his family lived in Michigan, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, in 2003 he and Sandra retired to Englewood FL.

Roger was an avid boater, RV enthusiast, and an active member of Englewood United Methodist Church. He was always devoted to his family, his faith, and serving others.

He cherished time spent boating with his family on Lake Winnapasaukee NH or traveling with Sandra in their RV to visit friends and family. He and Sandra had a true knack of making friends wherever life took them.

Roger is survived by his wife Sandra L. Eberly of Englewood FL, son Rex Eberly, wife Esther of West Kingston, RI, daughter Lori Damphousse, husband Ed of Marshfield, MA, son-in-law Harald Jordan of Durango CO, seven grandchildren, and sisters Janet Heymann, PA and Linda Seitz, MI. He was preceded in death by his daughter Dr. Leanne Eberly Jordan of Durango CO.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 29, 6:00 PM at the Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 East Dearborn Street, Englewood, FL 34223
