Thad Baumeister, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in Punta Gorda, FL. He moved to this area in 1988 and married Doreen Strickland. Thad will be most remembered for his love for his beloved wife Doreen, his love of life, and his big heart. While he worked to improve the lives of many, his particular focus was on the homeless in Charlotte County. He was the owner and manager of Circle B Grove.
He is survived by his wife Doreen; his children Lori Carlson and husband Corey, son Thad W. Baumeister and wife Stacy, daughter Kendall Baumeister; grandchildren Jacquelyn, Connor, Baron and Wren; a brother, James Baumeister and wife Cathy; a nephew Trey; stepchildren, Jennifer Wingo, Ronald Strickland, Natalie Jaundoo; step-grandchildren, Shelby Lynn, RJ, Kyle. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Catherine & Homer Baumeister, step-father Don Reeves, brother Roger and sister Charlene.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 W. Henry St, Punta Gorda.
