Thomas R. Estes, Sr., 86, of Venice, FL passed away January 13, 2015. He was born September 20, 1928 in Washington, DC to Hubert and Elizabeth Estes. He was a third generation police officer with the Washington Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia, retiring in 1978 as a Deputy Chief. He and his wife Mildred moved to this area in 1983. Mildred predeceased him on October 9, 2012.
He is survived by his son, Thomas R. Estes, Jr. and his wife Ingrid of McLean, VA; grandchildren, Alexander and Katharine Estes.
Interment will be scheduled at the Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA at a later date.
