
ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL
THOMAS J. HENRY, JR., 74 of Rotonda West, died January 14, 2007. He was born on October 15, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey and came to this area in 1988 from Normandy Beach, New Jersey. He owned and operated several restaurants in New Jersey and was a Vice president with Dean Witter in New York City. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11553, Lemon Bay Rag Haulers Sailing Club serving as Treasurer and was a past Commander, Natures Trail Home Owners Association serving as their Treasurer, and a member of St. Raphaels Catholic Church in Englewood. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Judith; son, Thomas J. Henry of Punta Gorda; three daughters, Kathleen Sorg of Flemington, NJ, Eileen Henry of Toms River, NJ and Patricia Gurney of England; step-son, Jack Trovato and a step-daughter, Michele Wakefield and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Lemon Bay Funeral Homes in Englewood. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Raphaels Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. You may express your condolences to the family at lemonbayfh.com.
