William J. Downs 92 of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away, December 16, 2016.
He was born on October 5, 1924 in Lubbock, Texas. Bill proudly
served in the US Army Air Corps 43rd Bombardment Group from 1942 until 1946.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Downs and Donald Downs; granddaughters, Tracy Pardue and Barbara Shields and great granddaughter, Lillian Pardue. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Sallie Downs.
A celebration of Life will be held in his memory at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 635 E. Marion Avenue on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. with Military Honors.
