Kevin Parker Chalmers

Kevin Chalmers passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 3, 2023. Reunited in heaven with his parents Ken and Lela Chalmers, and his older brother Guy. Kevin is survived by the love of his life, Janice, his daughters Lara (Trevor), and Brittany (Grant), and his adored grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Ron (Peggy), his sister Leanne (Dan), his sister-in-law Glenda, his brother-in-law Rick (Carol), his sister-in-law Brenda (Dan), numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.

Kevin was born in Burnaby, BC, on September 3, 1959. Raised in a family with 4 siblings, the Chalmers clan were a tight knit group who knew how to have a lot of fun. Kevin met his wife at the age of 17. The two shared a very special, loving marriage of 42 years.

Kevin was known for his warm and welcoming spirit, his kind and gentle presence, and his hardworking demeanour. It was this quality that served him and his brother Guy best as they grew their furniture business into a highly successful company.

Kevin knew how to have a good time; whether it be fishing with friends, travelling to sunny destinations, or splashing in the family pool. Kevin will be fondly remembered for his gentle easy-going disposition, and his generous nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and we will hold our memories of him dearly for many years to come.

A Memorial Service followed by reception for Kevin will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 3194 - First Memorial Funeral Services Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B8G7.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
