Loris Passaglia

The family of Loris Passaglia sadly announces the passing of their husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, age 92, on Dec. 6, 2020 at Eagle Ridge Hospital.

Born in Tassignano, Lucca, Italy, Loris was the oldest son of 8 children born to Luigi and Marcellina Passaglia.

Loris immigrated to Canada in 1951. He was joined in Canada by his fiance Natalina in 1953, and later by his brothers Carlo (Elena) and Liliano (Isa), and his sister Olimpia (Luigi).

Loris settled in Vancouver and worked in the construction industry. He started his own company and built houses in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Coquitlam, and he worked hard to support his family in Canada and Italy.

Loris is survived by Natalina, his wife of 67 years, and his two sons; Lui (Loa), children Lea, Lauren (Damian), Chris (Sasha) and Colby (Jodi), and 10 great grandchildren; and Walter (Laura), children Stefanie (Scott), Vanessa, and Justin (Carly), and 2 great grandchildren, and also nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

Due to Covid 19, no service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Loris to Eagle Ridge or Royal Columbian Hospitals.
