

Burdette L. Deyo Sr. 76, of Windsor, passed away Friday April 13, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents Veronica and Burdette Deyo, and stepmother Mary Galusha Deyo, Siblings: Edward Deyo, Joe Deyo Susie Griswold Rissman, Alberta Strater Gewirtz,Margie Ziegler McEnitre, grandson Dominick Torto, several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Eunice Deyo, Siblings Nancy and Rev. Norman Wilson, Rosie and David Stratton, Herbert and Judy Deyo, Patricia Galusha Nabinger, Jean Smith, Pauline and Darrel Bourne, sister in law Colleen Deyo, children: Gerald and Debora Deyo, Patricia Quick and Chuck, Gary Deyo and Carla, Carl and Diane Deyo, Michael Deyo and Candy, David Deyo and Christine, Linda Degnan and Keith, Burdette and Kelly Deyo, Robert and Cathi Deyo Brenda and Kenneth Lester, former daughter in law Ellen and William Osborne. Grandchildren: Gerald, Jesse, Jacob, Talisha, Joseph, Nicholas, Nicole, Chad, Simone, David, Amanda, David, Ashley, Jonathon, Gary, Maggi , Eric, Logan, Tyler, Meagan, Alicia, Tiffany, Jody, Gabrielle, Brendon, Cassandra, Melissa, Danielle, Cody, Matt , John, Stephanie, Abigail, and Emma, 15 great grandchildren. Special cousin Jack and Fay Deyo, many special friends and neighbors and his beloved pets, Spunky and Midnight. He was formerly employed by Empire Tallow, Inc. for over 20 years. He attended Cascade Valley Church. After his retirement he enjoyed family, friends, and taking care of his lawn. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines, he was a member of the Teamsters Union and American Legion. Special thanks to many friends and neighbors , Rev. Ernestine Glastetter, for her spiritual support, ICU and South Tower 5 Staff at Wilson Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson with the Rev. Patricia Hunter and Rev. Ernestine Glastetter of Cascade Valley Church officiating. Burial will be in Village Cemetery, Windsor. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7:00 pm.
