

Sadly we announce the passing of Dennis J. Camp on February 24, 2025 at the age of 77. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 54 years, Nancy Camp, his two devoted children, Carleene and Steven Glezen and Dennis Jr (DJ) Camp and Jamie Hogancamp and his cherished grandsons Wyatt and Colton Glezen and Jackson Camp. Also survived by his dear brothers Gary Camp and Gene Camp and his in-laws Sally Hawk and Bud McKay, Susan and Robert Rash, Kenneth Jr. and Annie Hawk, and Kathy and Robert Hogan. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Elizabeth Camp, and by his oldest brother, Roger Camp and Roger’s wives Shirley and Kay. Also predeceased by his in-laws, Kenneth and Jane Hawk.
Dennis was a graduate of Chenango Forks High School where he met Nancy and was a successful business owner in the Town of Chenango, also serving on the town board. In 1977 he founded C & D Liquors, named after his children, and his son’s family continues to operate the store today.
“Big D” will always be remembered for his big heart and his quick wit which made everyone laugh. He deeply loved and took great care of his family, his employees and his community.
