Elaine D. Fortunato

Elaine D. Fortunato, 84, of Warrenton, VA, formerly of Binghamton, NY, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2015 after a long illness. She is survived by two sons, Alfred R. Fortunato (Christine O'Donnell) of Binghamton, NY, and Thomas P. (Linda) Fortunato of Warrenton, VA, and grandchildren Brian and Mark Fortunato of Binghamton, NY, Daniel, Nicole, and Jessica Fortunato of Warrenton, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Al, her father, Raymond McGinnis and mother, Mable Hanna, as well as her brother, Raymond McGinnis. She was a full-time mother, grandmother, homemaker, and assisted with the family business. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, Al. She attended St. Christopher's and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic churches. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, November 28th, at St Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango St., Binghamton, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. Francis de Sales cemetery, Elka Park, NY. The family will receive friends at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, on Friday from 2-4pm.
