

Elizabeth B. Wickizer, 90, went to be with our Lord November 19, 2014, at Bridgewater Rehabilitation Center. She is predeceased by her parents, Teofil and Angeline Herlica; her brother, Joseph Herlica; and sister, Francis Cutler; and her favorite German Shepard DAKOTA. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, George Wickizer; son, Brent (Kay) Wickizer, Binghamton; daughter, Lori (Dale) Loomis Vestal; five beautiful grandchildren, Eric (Hope) Wickizer Apalachin, David (Kimberly) Lee, Richmond, VA, Mary (Ron) Ford, Las Vegas, NV, Amy Wickizer, Binghamton, Chad (Victoria) Lee Holly Springs, NC; her five great-grandchildren, Collin Wickizer, Sydney and Isabel Lee, Gavin Ford, Jaccob and Caiden Lee. She is also survived by two sisters, Angie Wallace and Irene Melnyk; and brother, Teofil (Ted) Herlica. Betty worked mostly in retail most of her life and made many wonderful friends along the way. She enjoyed her time at Sandy Pond camping with friends and family for many years. She enjoyed her senior center and all the friends she met there. One of her favorite things in life was to "just go for a ride" anywhere. Calling hours will be Monday, November 24, 2014 from 2-4 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson. A post service "meet and reminisce" immediately following service. Location to be announced at Chase Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Center. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Paula Finch for all her friendship to our mom. The family also would like to send special thanks to Bridgewater Rehab Staff for their caring, kindness, the genuine care and concern for our mom (and our family) during her stay, we can't thank you enough!
