Eugene D. Salmini

Eugene D. "Skippy" Salmini, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on June 2, 1951, Skippy was a kind-hearted individual who resided in Vestal, New York. He was the beloved son of the late Ambrose and Isabelle Salmini, and is predeceased by his brothers Paul and Thomas Salmini, and his brother-in-law Howard Fieler.

Skippy is survived by his sister Rita (Glen) Weber, and Margaret Fieler; brother James (Dorothy) Salmini; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and caregivers. His love for hats, coffee, and WWF brought joy to many who knew him.

The family expresses their gratitude to everyone who touched Skippy's life, as he touched theirs, as well as to the Pennsylvania Ave. Dialysis Team, Seton 1, CB Lord Day Treatment, and Broome Developmental Center for their care and support.

The family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 10-11 am, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am. A private family burial will be held in the Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, NY, following the service.
