

Felicia Palmieri, 89, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Armando Palmieri; brother and sisters-in-law, Angelo and Mabel DePersiis; Rudolph and Anita DePersis. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Beth Palmieri, Binghamton; Alex and Karen Palmieri, Binghamton; Armando and Susie Palmieri, Raleigh, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and John Maerkl, Binghamton; grandchildren, Andrea and Kevin Caoili; Jessica Palmieri; Vincent Palmieri; “Little” Anthony Palmieri; Christina Palmieri; Michael-John Maerkl; Marina Maerkl; 2 great grandchildren, Layla and Owen Caoili; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Catherine DePersis; sisters-in-law, Josephine Montone and Terrezena Testani; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lino and Mafalda Palmieri; also, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Felicia set a wonderful example for all with her love and devotion to her family and friends. She always managed to greet everyone with a wonderful smile and a kind word. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for their Kind and compassionate care. They would like to thank the staff at Wilson South Tower 3 for all their kind help in this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 8:45 AM at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson and continue at 9:30 AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home Friday, March 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Donations in Felicia’s name can be made to Broome County Catholic Charities Food Pantry, Main Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.
