Floyd B. Zacharias, 85, passed away on Sunday September 8, 2013 at Wilson Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, H. Floyd and Mary Zacharias; brother, Albert; sister, Marion Sickler. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Nelly, daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Russ Saneko; grandchildren, Jennifer, Garry, Floyd, Steven, Lindsay; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special dog, Taya and many friends who knew him as Zach. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from the Binghamton Press after 38 years of service. Floyd was a member of the American Legion Post 1645.
A private service will be held at the convience of the family. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Donations can be made to the Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
