He was predeceased by his wife of fifty-six years, Alice (Beautes) DiFulvio; his parents Constantino and Pascuccia DiFulvio; his sisters and brothers, Helen, Angelo, Tony, Josephine, and Sister Jean Patrice DiFulvio, CSJ. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Reverend George L. and Cindy DiFulvio, Whitney Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bruce Thomas, Lake Arrowhead, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Rick Osier, Binghamton; his sister, Dolores Medovich, Binghamton; his six grand-children, Dean Daniels, Claire Daniels, Casey DiFulvio, Sarah DiFulvio and Jared Penney, Jena Osier, and Kristina and husband Jason Kovarik; great-grandchildren, Manny, Gabriel, Sophia, Micah, and Gunnar; and his faithful canine companion Smokey.
George began his thirty-four year career with IBM working in the warehouse and then worked his way up through several promotions to become a Senior Associate Engineer. He was a proud member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was an accomplished musician, who from the age of nine played saxophone professionally, ultimately playing lodge halls, weddings and night clubs with The Royal Harmoniers. They were most recognized for playing at the Pine Inn for thirty-two years with his dear friend John Perdishon. In addition, he was a member of the Southerntiersmen Barbershop Chorus since 1967.
The steadfast devotion he showed to his family exemplified the true meaning of love and marriage as tenderly shown in the thirty-five years he cared for his wife Alice, who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis.
The family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepard Fairview Home as well as Lourdes Hospice for their kindness and compassion in caring for our father in his final days.
