Gwendolyn Jaye Mungo

Gwendolyn Jaye Mungo, 52, of Chenango Bridge, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert J. and Lois Williams; mother-in-law, Tamsen Mungo; brother, Daniel J. Williams. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Edward; daughter, Gina Mungo; son, Brock Mungo; brother and sister-in-law, David & Tonya Williams; nieces, Avvy and Ashley; nephews, Axel, Jeff and Henry; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; Gwen lived a busy life, with many hobbies and a variety of accomplishments. Bringing smiles to people through her skill of creating unique floral arrangements was perhaps some of her fondest days. Gwen also had the distinct intuition for helping to read others and guide them through their own journey in life. Be it spontaneous or planned out, Gwen was always the first to say, “Let’s go,” when it came to heading out for a live concert. She loved to have fun and her positivity shed light on all those around her. Gwen was forever grateful for the fact that she was able to be home with Gina and Brock during their childhood years. This brought her great reward while watching them grow into their own lives.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY 13901.

Gwen’s unmatched ability to fight over the last several years was made possible by her loving family and irreplaceable friends. A special thanks to all of you.
