

Jo-Ann (Buchta) Moore, passed away on October 19, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband and the father of her children, William F. Moore Jr., and her parents, Anna L. (Buchta) Kazmark & Joseph A. Buchta; step father, Leonard T. Kazmark; aunt & uncle, Lois & Tom Harvey. She is survived by her fiancé, David E. Stark; devoted children, Linda C. (Moore) & James Corley, Jeffrey W. Moore and Dr. Kevin T. & Mary (Tung) Moore; grandchildren, Jacqueline C. Corley, John W. Corley, Janine L. Corley, Madelyn Shiao-Hwei Moore and Andrew Ming-Hao Moore; one loving sister, Sharon L. Buchta; special cousin, Vivian & Duane Hohn; niece, Nannette (Hollingsworth) Golby; nephews, Glenn Hollingsworth; Tristan Corley; numerous cousins and friends. Jo-Ann was employed by GAF and the Binghamton City School District as the secretary at Woodrow Wilson School. She attended Binghamton University to achieve certification required to teach aerobics. Jo-Ann taught a toning class and some aerobics at a local gym before her retirement. Family and faith were very important to her. She was a loving mother and grandmother who took pride in Thanksgiving dinner in her home for her family, spending family vacations in Fl. and retirement winters in Cocoa Beach. Jo-Ann's loves were dancing, going to all church picnics during the summer months and listening to her fiancée Dave Stark play the piano at a local hotel. Her hobbies included going to plays, shopping and spring training baseball games. She also loved the holidays and spending all night playing poker with her family. A special thank you to Mercy House for their love and care. She was a member of Sts. John & Andrew Church. The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901 on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9:00 -10:00 am. A funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Mercy House, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760 or the American Cancer Society , 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790.
