John W. Adams Jr.

John W. Adams, Jr.,70, went to be with the lord on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents John & Ruby, his brothers Wayne & Paul, nephews Ivan & Bill and his brother-in-law Neil Mead.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Ann Adams; daughter Stacey Smith, daughter & son-in-law Michele & Kevin Bowen and his son & daughter-in-law Michael & Angel Adams; grandchildren Rebecca, Elizabeth, Kendrick, Bryanna, Ty, Jordyn and Savanna; great grandchildren Emma, Paul and Brynlee; a great niece Tanya; siblings Phyllis Mead, Lois & Mel Howard, Rose & Tom Mott, Kevin & Susan Mead and Bentley Mead and several nieces nephews and cousins.

John worked for the Broome County Highway Department for over 32 years. He was an active member of the First Church of Christ and the New Venture Church. John enjoyed traveling in his motor home and he and his family had many fun filled trips around the country. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 11am at the New Venture Church, 1980 Front Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. In true John fashion there will be a time to share memories and a Desert Bar. In lieu of flowers those wishing kindly consider memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790.
