       With a heavy heart I send my sincere condolences. John was a great guy who I'm glad I had the chance to get to know. Sending love,light and comfort in this time of sorrow. Your family has a guardian to watch over you all. May John Rest In Paradise. If you are in need of anything don't hesitate to call.  So sad to hear. As I just heard of his passing. 


Flora family,  my name is Trey Swartwout, I will be a sophomore at Windsor this year.  I have been a member of the last two Windsor junior legion baseball teams, as well as a member of this past years varsity baseball team.  I wanted to say that I am very sorry that you, and everyone, has lost Coach Flora.   He was always very nice to me and I will always remember our conversations.  He was fun and made those around him smile and happy.   Our baseball team is going to miss him.  Again, I am sorry for your loss.

John, was my hero and big brother  growing up and into  my adult  life the love i had can't be explaned our family will never never be the same without him. We as a family lost our    foundation  of fun

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share this message. John, Bear, Beldar the Conehead (he got this nickname because his football helmet wouldn’t fit and his forehead would break out, thus he was a Conehead 😊) has sadly left us. We bonded like brothers over a love of sports, chasing girls, and enjoying a party, big or small. His infectious laugh and amazing smile are what I will miss the most. We spent countless hours at Hyder Park, in the nearby woods, and razing a little hell in Nimmonsburg. So many memories have come flooding back, stories I entertain his wife and sons with in the future! 
John loved his family and friends unconditionally and his sisters were like sisters to me. Today I was going to sit around, feel sorry for myself, and not go to the the gym. John would not want that. He’d want me to continue enjoying sports. Tammy, John, Nathan, and David, keep smiling, laughing, and staying strong. That’s what John would want. Our worlds won’t be as joyful without him, but we’re lucky to have had the time with him  that we did. Truly blessed. Honor John by spending time with family, playing and watching sports, and laughing with each other. Linda, Angela, Betty Jean, Frank, Art, and all of your family are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Hopefully one day, brother, we will be together again. 

So sorry to hear about John.  I have nothing but fond memories of John. I will remember his humor,  laughter and  fun attitude.  My condolences to Angela & family. God bless John

So sorry for the loss of John.  I just saw you at our class reunion and we were talking about  Mike and John's friendship. Who would of thought within a month we would of both lost our brothers.  I spent time with John at the wake and funeral for Mike and I know he cherished their friendship.  They are smiling down on all of us now and will continue to fly high.  God bless your family at this time.



Thank you John  for being there to help the kids playing baseball and volunteering your time for football. You were one of my grandson's  favorite coaches and a good friend of mine. RIP , gone to soon. 

I only just met John this past year while our sons were playing college baseball together.  We quickly became friends and I fondly remember getting to know each other while watching the games together in the bleachers in Florida.  My wife often mentioned how comfortable John made you feel.  We only knew him a short time, but he has left a lasting memory with us.  Rest in Peace.

Rest easy John - I'll always remember our special same birthday connection from when we met in 3rd grade all through school and how we even joked about it a few years ago. Condolences to your family. 

flora was always the number 1 supporter of the players. he had your back 100% and loved every one of us. I’ll miss handing him my gloves at first base. 

Tamara and boys,  I'm so very sorry for your loss,  John was always very kind and helpful whenever I saw him, he loved helping others,  he will be greatly missed!!
