

John "Jack" E. McEnaney, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at age 89. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara. Jack is survived by his sons, Tom (Kelley), Edward (Robin), Ron (Lisa), and John (Anjie); 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jack served in the US Navy, and worked at Singer Link for over 30 years, and then Maines Food Service. He was an active member of the community and dedicated much of his life to serving others through his involvement in numerous organizations.
Jack was a member of St. Francis Assisi Church, the Knights of Columbus, and dedicated over 50 years as a Boy Scout leader. In addition to his church and scouting commitments, Jack was an active member of the Hillcrest Community Association, where he was a longtime little league coach. His also served as the Town of Fenton Judge, and volunteered his time at the Town of Fenton Library and the Children's Home of Wyoming Conference, demonstrating his compassion and desire to give back.
In his free time, Jack enjoyed playing cards and golf with his friends, creating cherished memories with those close to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St, Port Dickinson, NY. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango Street. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery, Binghamton, NY.
