Kimberly Ann Trout

Kim is survived by her husband Jon Trout with whom she would have celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on September 1st. She is also leaving behind her two daughters Taylor Trout and Ashley Guenther (Coty Guenther) who she was immensely proud of and who were the center of her universe. Kim is also survived by her loving parents Weldon and Donna Sickler, brothers Mark and Jody Sickler (Laurie Sickler), nephews Aaron and Justin Sickler, James and Dan Sodan, and many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends.

Kim was born on October 1, 1969. She graduated from Chenango Valley HIgh School and attended Broome Community College. Kim always put other people's needs in front of her own and she fulfilled this desire to help people by working as a Home Health Aide at Interim Healthcare and as a food preparer in the cafeteria at Port Dickinson Elementary School. For as much as she enjoyed her jobs, they were not her "happy places". Kim loved to start her day by having coffee on her porch each morning with her dog Abbey - who is sadly still looking out the window, waiting for Kim to come back home. Every week, Kim looked forward to her Friday "Girls Night" where she would enjoy dinner, laughs (and a little wine) with her daughters Ashley and Taylor and her mom Donna. As much as she relished this time with her girls, the place that Kim loved most was any sandy beach where she could dig her toes in the sand, soak up some sun and take a walk in the sunset with her husband Jon.

Kim left us too soon. Our lives will forever be changed. It is difficult for us to imagine the holidays, weddings, graduations, grandchildren, etc. without her. We will always have a hole in our hearts and an empty chair at our tables, but we will carry her memory with us and always look to the skies for her guidance.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018, 12Noon at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. The Burial will follow in the Holy Spirit Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10am until the time of service.
