Mahlon L. Treaster

Mahlon L. Treaster 91, of Harpursville, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Wilson Hospital. Mahlon was the adult Sunday School Teacher in West Colesville Baptist Church for 40 years. He was for many years a leader in AWANA, a Christian Young Childrens called Sparkies. He worked for the Link Simulator business for 37 years. Many years a machinist. He was born in Carlisle, PA, October26, 1929 to Samuel B. Treaster and Ruth Ann (Lindsay) Treaster. He will be buried in Brookdale Cemetery, Brookdale, PA, beside his wife Lois A. Treaster who passed away January 7, 2014. They were married June 5, 1954 for nearly 60 years. He was the oldest son of seven children. He is survived by brothers David B. Treaster, Glenn I. Treaster, and sister’s Jean O Brian and Verna Walsh. And his children David L. Treaster, Paul A. Treaster, and daughter Carol J. Treaster. He has 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 12 noon at the Apalachin Community Baptist Church 1707 Main St. Apalachin, NY 13732. Burial will take place at Brookdale Cemetery in Brookdale, PA at the convenience of his family. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
