Robert A. Krissell

Robert (Bob) Alan Krissell, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025. He was born to the late Burton Grant & Mary Elizabeth Krissell. He was also predeceased by his brother John M. Krissell; uncle Gerald Krissell and aunt Jean Gailit.

He is survived by his brothers Gerald G. (Jerry) & Gabrielle (Bohn-Blodgett) Krissell, and Thomas Krissell; sister Linda Ann & Nick Cerio; many nieces and nephews including Dylan, Layla, and Lucca.

Bob was childlike and loved by many people. As a child and young adult, Bob went everywhere with his father and brother, Tom. He loved to ride bicycles as a kid. His favorite pastime was watching movies, in particular, Wizard of Oz and Superman. Bob went to Susquehanna Day Habilitation, and he went to work and school at Achieve and resided at one of Achieve’s residential homes. Bob was known to have a flirtatious, but fiery personality. He could be tough, and in the next second, extremely loving. Bob will be dearly missed by his family and many caretakers.

We would like to send a special thank you to Tilly Huizinga, Director of Nursing at Achieve, and the staff at the Rose Lane Achieve Home for the love and care Bob received, especially at his end-of-life. Also, thank you to the Staff at Achieve, Susquehanna Day Hab, and the transport staff that always helped Bob. Lastly, thank you to OPWDD.

A Graveside service will be held at the Center Lisle Cemetery, Lisle, NY on May 23, 2025 at 3pm. In memory of Bob, do something kind for someone with special needs, and remember, they just may require more patience and compassion.
