

Stephen Kulas, 54, passed away on January 14, 2015 after a couragous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his father Bruno; mother-in-law Evelyn Andrus; and godson Adam Kulas. He is survived by his wife, Linda and sons, Justin, Jared (Sierra) and Jamie. He was proud papa to Kalen, Kyan, Evalee and Jaiden. He is also survived by his mother, Julia Kulas; brothers Tom (Pam), Jim, Jeff, Paul (Alejandra); sisters Julie (Brian)Randall and Mary (Tim) Halupke; father-in-law John Andrus; in-laws Patty (Larry) Boorom and Mark (Cathy) Andrus; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Stephen was a master dry-cleaner employed by Mike Schapiro at Wedding Gown Preservation. He loved music and was part of the band, Kool Brothers. A special thank you is extended to friends Joanne Taylor and Barb and Lee Spittle. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Lourdes ICU for their special care during his extended stay.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 19, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1031 Chenango St. Binghamton. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Stephen’s family will receive friends at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson on Sunday from 3:00 – 7:00pm.
