

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Andrew Madger III, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left us on Friday, January 17, 2025, due to complications from congestive heart failure. He was 67 years old.
Born on December 9, 1957, Steven was a man who lived his life with a deep love for the outdoors, his family, cooking and a dedication to helping others. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, hunting, and exploring the natural world. His adventures led him to visit 48 of the 50 states in the U.S., making lifelong memories along the way.
Steven’s greatest pride was his family. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Steven A Madger Jr. and Margaret Madger; His sister Karen Farrell, and his nephew Andrew Madger. He is survived by his longtime partner of 23 years, Elizabeth Ann Molyneaux; his two children, Steven Madger IV (Cruzita) and Braeden Molyneaux (SadieLyn); and his sister, Kathy(Chuck) Madger. Steven's kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved were the cornerstones of his life.
He was a man who always stopped to lend a hand, touching the hearts of everyone he encountered.
For the last 15 years, Steven dedicated himself to the YMCA of Broome County, where he worked tirelessly to support his community along side his wonderful friends. He positively impacted countless lives through his work, and his legacy of service will be felt for many years to come.
His burial will be held at a later date in the spring at his families resting place located in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the YMCA of Broome County in Steven’s honor.
Steven’s warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a profound legacy of love, kindness, and community.
