Predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl in 1989. She is survived by her 3 loving children and her 7 adoring grandchildren; Cathy (Candreva), her husband Doug and daughter Carleigh; Carl, his wife Kathy and their children Ashley, Alexander, and Carolyn; and Brian, his wife Lynn, and their children Alexa, Jake, and Zachary.
She is also survived by her 4 loving siblings, Sarah Pettinato, Joseph Connolly, Mariann Popielaski, and Patrick Connolly, and many loving nieces, and nephews.
Aggie spent most of her childhood in Queens Village, graduating from Martin Van Buren High School, before moving out to South Setauket on Long Island.
Aggie loved to be on the move. She was always 1st to say yes to anything and everything she could do with her family and friends. Her adventures ranged from various cruises, and international trips, to day trips to shows or the casino, and her favorite daytime activity, Bingo. She was a strong and fearless woman, a role model mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed being a Florida snowbird, and was unafraid to do so by herself, making new and lasting friendships wherever she went. She embraced new technology, racking up an impressive number of Uber trips when she couldn’t drive herself.
She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage, looked her best in green, and even bent over backward to kiss the blarney stone during a very special trip to Ireland.
She read the newspaper every day, always starting with the sports section. She loved sports, especially baseball, and never missed a chance to watch “her Yanks”. She was bright, did the crossword puzzle every day, proud to be an excellent speller, who was able to complete the puzzle most days. She loved going out to dinner, especially her desserts and chocolate, and mostly enjoyed a glass of Moscato and the company of her loving family and friends.
She was a uniquely personable, kind, charitable and funny person, who touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her. She will be missed, and in our hearts and thoughts every single day.
