

Catherine Breheny (Blacker ) of Govan, Scotland and Port Jefferson Station, NY; wife of Thomas Augustine Breheny(deceased). Loving mother of 5 children; John Patrick Breheny (deceased), Isobel Geralyn Breheny (Marc D. Schafer), Mary Elizabeth Breheny, Charles Andrew Breheny and partner Sarah Gross-Beddingfeild , Michael Alexander Breheny and wife Tara Breheny (Flieschman). Grandmother of two, Ian Collin Schafer and Olivia Sue Schafer. Dear sister of Isobel Fleming, Louisa Gallagher, Charles Blacker, William Blacker (Dot), Elizabeth Blacker and the late May Ewart and the late Lottie Downey and their spouses. Also survived by her niece Heather and husband Stewart Ross, nephew Arthur Jr (AJ) Fleming, niece Christen Fleming and family, great nephew and nieces Jamis, Madison, Sophia, Arianna and Sailor. In laws Michael & Cathy Breheny and Eugene & Catherine (Kay) Breheny and their families. Many more loving relatives in Scotland and America including many nieces and nephews in the Breheny, Schafer, Gurican, Flieschman, Downey, Ewart, Gallacher and Blacker families. Mom's dear friends & housemates, Mj Donlon, Kathy Lugris and Roz Berkowicz. Our beautiful and loving Mom and my children's grandma Catherine, the heart and strength of our family, has gone suddenly to join my Dad Thomas and brother John in whatever Heaven may be. I am sure they are dancing and I know there is music playing and singing going on and a beach, we love you Mom wish I could make you come back but I never could make you do anything you didn't want to do and you probably say the same thing about your kids. Kiss Dad and John for me. My mom taught religious education for St Gerard's Parish, raised her kids and also some neighborhood kids worked in hospitality, catering ,food service and housekeeping at St George's country club in East Setauket, Maryhaven, St Charles Hospital, Stony Brook Veterans home and in North Carolina at the Emerald Island Retreat center. She loved Scottish and American Country music, the beach, all children, songs ,flowers, chocolate and being a mom.
