Elaine was a great person. She had a way of making people feel comfortable. When I think of her I think of her bright eyes and even brighter smile. I loved how she would speak her mind. You always knew what she thought but she was not mean just honest. I miss her deeply, she definitely touched many lives. Rest in peace my special friend.

Grandma was such a caring kind hearted person. I remember when she used to pick me up every day after school and we would talk, or when I was sick and she would take care of me. And all the times we watched law and order and she told mom how great I am. My life would not have been the same without her in it, she helped raise me and become the man I am today. What I would do to give you one more cookie. I love and miss you.

Grandma will be missed greatly. She always had such a light about her that I will never forget. I will cherish all the times we would spend together over visits, and how we bonded over our love for The X-Files. I take solace in knowing she is now at peace with Grandpa. All my love.

My Loving Beautiful Mom. My heart aches I feel so lost without you.  You were the greatest mom to all of us and I love that family was always and forever first with you.  I have so many happy memories that I cling to. I loved how you made our birthdays feel like a national holiday and us feel so special. I know my love of all things Christmas came from you.  My favorite memories are you & Daddy helping me raise my beautiful Brendon.  I never had to worry when leaving for work I knew he was in the best hands.  And we did a great job Mom he is a caring loving wonderful man.  All that I am I owe to you mom you helped me be a strong woman able to face whatever life thows at me with a smile.  What I wouldn't do to see those eyes light up at the site of a chocolate bar again.  I so hope there's a heaven mom & I'll see you all again.  But Thank you for always being there for me I never once felt alone. I love and miss you so much it hurts❤ Christine

I miss my sister.  She was a huge part of my life especially during my early years.  She loved me and I loved her.  She taught me about the birds and bees, she always picked out wonderful presents.  I remember galloping around the Canadian Gardens in Niagara Falls with her pretending we were race horses when I was 13.  I remember the time and energy she spent on picnics to Pietsch Lake and Candlewood Lake.  She never forgot a thing.  We would start with breakfast that was better than any restaurant.  Lunch was usually heros with all the trimmings.  Dinner was usually Pasta with meat, salads, desserts.  Of course she drank coffee all day.  She still had the energy to go swimming, play with the young and spend time with her friends.  Sometimes the whole family would go to Glen Island and meet Aunt Elsie and her kids and grandkids.  Usually that was a Monday and Paul was working so Mom and Dad and I would pick her, Diane, Paul and Carolee up and go early and Paul would meet us after work.  Later she joined a club near Bronx Pool.  She loved to swim.  When I was young I was very confused that people called her Elaine because I thought it was Esther.  You see I thought she was Esther Williams.  She always made sure Mom and Dad were happy and took care to see they were okay.  Friday nights Elaine, Mom, Dad and I would play pinochle till Paul got home from work at his second job.  Elaine always took the time to listen to my problems and try to help.  I remember going ice skating with her on a pond near the Bronx Zoo.  My sister was beautiful inside and out.  There are so many wonderful memories I hope she is smiling down as she remembers each and every one of them.  Rest easy my dear sister I look forward to seeing you again someday.

You will always be missed Grandma!  My memories of you will always stay sweet and beautiful, just like you!  You have always been one of the strongest woman in my life. Your beautiful eyes were a window to your kind soul.  When I looked at you the world was a better place to be in. I really enjoyed the times you would come to visit us in Pennsylvania. We would love to help you unpack the "candy store" out of your trunk!  We had so much fun hanging out and playing games with you, Grandpa and Aunt Christine. My aunt was such a wonderful person she was always so happy and always had a smile on her face.I remember when my sister Nancy and I had gotten to sleep over there house which took alot of begging from cousion  Christine to my father because he would never let us do sleep overs but he trusted my aunt and he let us.I also remember my aunt and uncle would always come over after christmas and visit and bring a big tin of her home made cookies she made the best cookies.She was just a wonderful pretty person who will never be forgotten.Love always Chris Maryetta Christopherherbert and Alexaclarina

Grandma was such a wonderful person.  She taught me how to be a loving and caring person, and I can only hope that I live up to her amazing example.  One memory that I will always hold dear is the time that she spent playing games with me and my brother, Patrick.  She would spend hours playing card games with us, and especially loved it when we would ask to play Florida Rummy.  She taught us so much growing up, and she will be so sorely missed by us all.  I love and miss you Grandma.

My memories of my mom. She was a loving, kind giving person. One memory that comes to mind is when I was asked to write my Christmas list and give it to her, she would always say Wow that's a big list I don't know if you will get all this, but I don't know how she did it I always received the gifts I truly wanted. Growing up I also remember all the major holidays she always made so very special. In good times and not so good she was always there for me and Brian and Patrick. I hope she realizes how very much she means to me. I truly miss her my heart hurts when I think I didn't tell her enough how much she meant to me and how much I appreciate all she ever did for me and my sons.  It's so funny how I remember when I was grown with children and she'd be outside in the snow with me and the boys and we'd take them around the backyard on their sleds it started off pretty tame then one thing led to another and we'd wind up in a big snowball fight no hold barred with everyone laughing  and falling into the snow laughing so much we could hardly breath, only to end up with a nice cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows, I still find it amazing that she was able to do so much for me. She made our house a home . Somewhere you always wanted to be. I am very grateful she was able to see my first grandchild Benjamin, I wish she could of seen him grow up. But that's ok she will watch over him and will see him grow. She will watch over all of us and our kids and grandkids because thats just the way she was. She would let us get away with murder as kids of course Dad never knew. I also remember Sunday's being a very special day in our home she would go out of her way to make a big roast dinner,also we always ate together as a family which I love. I laugh now when I think back of how she's get up at 4:00 am everyday and clean and I mean clean the house from top to bottom. When she had the carpeting replaced she would rake it and she would know if we were in there, so we got smart and would rake the rug after we were in there goofing around in the living room I wonder if she ever knew we did that. I hope I'm a lot like my mother I think it would make her smile if I lived up to her standards. There is one  other memory when we moved to Port Jefferson she would always take me grocery shopping every time she went and I would always get a deli dill pickle to eat while going around the store. These memories I will cherish forever.  I miss and love you Mommy so very much I feel like I have a  hole in my heart. I know now that you are not in any pain and no longer confused.. Also you are very happy because you always wanted to be with daddy  and now you are together again. Could you give Daddy and Patrick a big Hug and kiss from me. I will miss Elaine so much! She was a beautiful person inside and out. Like my second Mom. I got my love of coffee from her. I also loved to play Florida Rummy with Her, Chris and her Mom. I have a lot of great memories growing up 2 houses down from all the Kauffmann's. I will miss her beautiful smile.

Grandma will always hold a place in my heart.  She was a strong and wonderful woman who taught us a lot of life lessons.  She always made time for us all throughout our lives.  Grandma always made us feel special.  I will miss her warm hugs and kisses, but am eternally grateful for all the sweet memories.  I know she is at peace now, but I will miss her every day.  She was deeply loved and adored.  I love you grandma, always!

We will miss grandma and great grandma so much!  Grandma has been an inspiration to all of us!  Grandma's smile and eyes could light up a room.  We are so lucky to of had such a loving, kind, caring woman beside us.  Thank you for always being there for us!  We love you!

My grandmother was a wonderful human being.  Everyone always loved being in her company.  I learned so many things from her as a child that helped me become the man I am today.  I have so many fond memories of her - sleepovers at her house, watching baseball games with her, eagerly looking forward to when she would visit and so many more.  She always showed me so much love.  I used to call her "Grandma that paints" when I was a kid.  I love my grandmother dearly and will miss her always.

Thank you Mom for all the love you gave so selflessly. Thank you for all your guidance and your helping hand no matter what you were doing.  You always had time for me. Your home was always a safe haven.  I don't know how I can imagine life without you in it. Mom thank you for leaving me Paul, Carolee and Christine. My wonderful husband, My precious children. And my darling grandchildren. Thank you Mom for the greatest gift "You",  I will always love you, I will always miss you.  I know you are happy with Daddy now and that gives me some peace. Mom, A more perfect Mom, has never existed. You have left a gaping hole in our hearts. The only thing that helps is knowing you are now in the loving arms of Daddy & that you will never suffer again. As a child, Elaine was the only adult I was permitted to call by their first name.  She insisted on this and it made me feel very special. My Mom & Elaine were best friends and I'll always remember her laugh and the twinkle in her eyes. Thank you for always being so kind. My deepest sympathies to Diane, Paul, Carolee & Chris.  My heart goes out to you and your families.

Elaine was my good friend & confidant.  I have such fond memories of the many fun adventures we had when we both moved to Grove Street in the early 60's. Morning coffee was a favorite time after sending the kids off to school. She loved to say that Paul would know that I was over for coffee because the sugar bowl would be depleted.  I look forward to sharing a cup with you when we meet again.

I had the honor of spending my afternoons taking care of Elaine . Although it was for a short period of time, Elaine will always have a special place in my heart. She had no idea what she actually did for me at that time in my life. Thank you Elaine for the memories I will forever hold and thank you Christine, and your family for letting me into your lives.

I will always remember Aunt Elaine for her beautiful smile and her gorgeous eyes.  Very lovely woman.
