

Born on April 27, 1936, in Queens, New York, Ines lived a life centered on family, friendship, and the activities she loved most. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to her devoted husband, Shelley. Together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and shared experiences.
Ines was a loving mother to Steven (Tracey), Leslie Valentine (Gerard), and Gary (Catherine). She was also a cherished grandmother to Cameron Beck (fiancé Dylan Bishop), Hailey Beck, and Connor Beck, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother, Felix Cruz.
Ines and Shelley shared a passion for travel and explored many parts of the world together, including destinations throughout South America, Asia, and Europe. One especially memorable trip was a family journey to Italy, where they created lasting memories together.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and was known for her warm spirit and enthusiasm for life. Ines was an avid golfer and bridge player. She frequently traveled with her cousin Nina to participate in bridge tournaments and played regularly with friends in a bridge club in Aquebogue twice each week.
Ines was also dedicated to giving back to her community and volunteered at Eastern Farm Workers Association in Bellport, New York. She donated her nursing experience, and provided translation, clerical, cooking and transportation services to the community for 25 years.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gerard Majella RC Church, 300 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Ines to Eastern Farm Workers Association, 58 Beaver Dam Road, Bellport, NY 11713.
Ines will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness, and joyful spirit will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
