Jean Ann Scheidel

Jean Ann Scheidel, 62, of Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away on March 1, 2025. Born on June 6, 1962 in Hempstead, NY, Jean Ann was known for her kind heart, creative spirit, and love for her family and friends.

A passionate knitter, Jean Ann found joy in making beautiful sweaters. She would carefully source wool from Upstate New York, washing and dyeing it herself to create her handmade treasures. She also loved the sounds of Christmas music and found peace in the beauty of the mountains. Above all, Jean Ann treasured the time spent with her beloved family, especially her husband of 38 years, David, with whom she shared a life full of love, laughter, and memories.

Jean Ann is survived by her loving spouse, David Scheidel; her children, Dara Sieber (Brian) and Matthew Scheidel; her adored grandson, Brian Sieber; and her dear brother, Bill Wilkinson.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY, 11776, on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM. A Prayer Service will take place at 8:00 pm on the same day.

Jean Ann’s love and legacy will live on through the memories she leaves with her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
