John Smith

John Smith of East Setauket, NY, passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on August 15, 1961, John was a devoted and loving father to Briana Smith and Michael Smith, and a cherished brother to George Smith, Denise Smith, and Matthew Smith.

John’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and family. His love for them was unwavering, and he created countless lasting memories through shared laughter, adventures, and deep conversations.

A deeply spiritual person, John practiced mediumship and had a profound connection to the metaphysical world. He found meaning and healing through his work with crystals and lived his life guided by spiritual intuition and insight.

John’s interests were as vibrant and unique as he was. A lover of alternative rock and roll, he had a passion for music that moved the soul. He also had a strong sense of wanderlust, finding joy in traveling to places like Boston, New York City, and the Grand Canyon—where he even took a thrilling helicopter ride around the rim. He had a fondness for train rides and public transportation, enjoying the journey as much as the destination. And for those who knew him best, it came as no surprise that he loved skydiving, embracing life with both feet off the ground and a heart full of adventure.

John will be remembered for his open heart, free spirit, and the light he brought to every life he touched. His family and friends will miss him dearly but take comfort in knowing that his energy and love continue on.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a prayer service at 2:30 PM. Cremation will be private.

John’s spirit was one of exploration, connection, and unconditional love. He lived fully—and he will be remembered always.
