(Wow wasn't expecting to see  Mike play on a video)The song has been running through my brain all day.. I never met Joe..but knew Dena before she was born n after for many of her younger years.. I see  her daughters  looked like her as a  baby n young girl. It's heartbreaking for  such a young man to be taken way from his family  n friends. Watched his video's  they were hysterically  funny n to the point!!!  He will  always  be loved  by all..his family  will be supported by many, his girls  will grow  up  knowing the good he did  as well as the kindness  of his heart❤, he gave them excellent  tools  to look for a person for their future.. as you are laid to rest JP , just know you have touched so many lives ... each life you gave them the spark of hope and continued  faith to strive  on...your wave of goodness will not stop flowing its a ripple effect and will continue to shine n those rainbows  n sunsets  you send us will be a sign your still on the job! 
RIP , like I said I never met you but I think if I did  my growth internally  would be stronger then before to reach out n touch, heal, show compassion  with words gestures  n love n faith.🙏❤

Joseph absolutely got a kick out of every time Rusty brought in a rock and added it to his collection😁♥️. He walked around like it was a proud child.

I vividly remember Joe letting us play in the fire hydrant after one of his 4th of July parties. This was one of my favorite memories of childhood and one I've shared with my own family as an adult.  I remember the feeling of there always being an overabundance of love at your home.  He will live on in my heart and mind forever and his legacy will carry on beyond what you can even visualize. I love you guys and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Joe unfortunately.  His mother in law, Lois, befriended my mother and myself when she saw my mom sitting in Starbucks. Not long after we were sharing laughs with Dena, Samantha and Gabby. The handful of times we sat, talked and laughed were most memorable. Good Times. The girls were full of joy. My heart is deeply saddened that the three of them are going through this. RIP Joe. I'm sure you'll be looking down on them always. 

The loss of a great Man Joseph N. Pontillo🙏🕊♾❤🕊🙏 will always leave a huge hole in my heart, and too everyone that knew him... The day we met was one of the best days of my life because you were so thoughtful and respectful and caring too someone that you just met over 11years ago, ty 4 those years I will cherish them w/ a smile  and love. One Night at popies you told me those are my  3 loves of your life Mrs Dena Burkhardt Pontillo little miss #Gabby  and #Sam your 3 Beautiful Angel's you said, to me when we were at popies having a that Italian 7 fish feast,then we all went and watched down port  the BillyJoel tribute band play  after I spent that night w/ you and your family, I knew then we will always be friends forever no matter where we are in the #727  .... #theStrongIslandHood will miss you dearly..#loveeternal to a good soul and a Great friend Heavan Gained a very special Angel who I know will take care of joe while #Joseph looks down on us and watches over all of us..

 You left this earth too soon , I've known a lot of people in my daze and joe was the most kind , careing, loving EXTRAORDINARY guy who would literally give you the shirt off his back has passed away from fighting a good fight to covid for 2months😢 I will miss you always and that Beautiful sense of humor and Gracious Style that you shared w/ everyone.. The laughter the love and kindness that you gave us all..

Robert and I are still in disbelief. Joe was a driving force with everything he did.  His generosity and charity work spoke volumes and he truly made our community a better place to live. He touched so many lives and damn, was he hilarious!  Our deepest sorrows and sympathies are with you and may he rest peacefully and watch over you all.

If I can pin point one trait about you that I admired about you, was you were selfless, not selfish. You had great influence with a massive impact on others.  I learned a lot from you in such little time. I am forever grateful that God bought you into our life, you are a man of your word, we don’t see that to often today. You don’t ever have to worry brotha look how God set you up, a family of 40,000 people to help watch over Dena Burkhardt Pontillo & your daughters. I know Gods got you covered up there as well as your family down here. 

We had so many ideas blooming together with each other Joe, I’ll always keep an eye out for you in spirit. As I blink back the tears writing this, its never a goodbye buddy it’s just a see you later. 🍕🍕🍕

I never met JP in person!! If it wasn’t for Mike  every Wednesday and Saturday through the pandemic  we became porch family listening to his music and we all started  to text each!!  Mike will say JP in the house and we all go all excited there was something about JP that made it so special when he joined!!!His weather videos were too funny I was laughing so hard I was in tears watching them!! I showed them to my husband he was laughing so much he couldn’t not believe how talented he was!! But I have to say I am so happy I got to meet you Dena can’t wait to meet your beautiful daughters!! Love you all so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘

As I sit here in disbelief, I cannot believe my baby brother is gone. The three of us have never had an easy life, losing our mom at a young age then losing our dad. It’s heart wrenching to know I will never see my brother again.￼￼I truly do not know what God’s plan is, but it shouldn’t of been to take Joseph and such a young age. You didn’t even get to enjoy his life with your wife Dena,two daughters,Samantha and Gabriella and Rusty. Joseph you were my rock and I know a lot of people didn’t know that because sometimes they see us fighting, but I’d lay down my life for my brother or my sister. When I had questions and I needed some answers,I always call Joseph you would think because he’s the baby brother that I wouldn’t call him but I always did. I will never ever see my brother again, his laugh, his smile, oh and when he used to make fun of me. Now I will see you in my dreams with Mom & Dad 🥲🥲You will forever be my little baby brother and I love you dearly ❤️🥰. It’s time to say goodbye for now , so black bird spread your wings and fly up there having a great time. Please every now and then throw me a sign, so that when I see a black bird fly or a Beautiful Sunrise 🌅  or a Sunset 🌆 in my mind I know it’s you looking over all of us. I love you Joseph forever

Joe was one special man filled with lots of love.  I admired his eagerness to always share that love, laughter and excitement with anyone he came in contact with.

His love for the 4th of July was one tradition that I enjoyed when meeting your family.  He opened up his home and just wanted everyone to have fun.

Joe was a very talented sales professional, and will be sorely missed by everyone at Northeast Great Dane.
He was the life of any meeting, or Sales team get together, and always made us laugh.
I personally loved working with him immensely, and will miss his larger than life persona.
Prayers go out to his wife Dena, and his young girls, and may they gain strength from their memories of Joe.

How was a great guy, as a kid always has a great smile.As a grown man he was funny and just so around good guy. May he Rest In Peace. He was taken way too young. My heart goes out to Aden’s and the girls

Who would have thought that of all the people I graduated with from Longwood High School,  you would have been the one I ended up closest to.  Long Island Food and Drink brought us together and we made a great team.  I will miss our victories, laughs,  and behind the scenes discussions.  I will miss you calling me the hammer.  Our late night chats on how to grow the page and sharing stories of our families.  You were a great friend and man this hurts so much losing you.  I will cherish the memories and hope I do you proud with continuing the page the way you trained me to do.  

The 727 is heartbroken by the loss of our brother.  The life of every party, always there to help anyone in need.  RIP Joe

I'm still in complete disbelief that this is real. I have so many memories growing up together,  riding our Bmx bikes, cleaning/working on cars, going to car shows, going to Bally's, 4th of July parties, clubs, the list goes on. Every time I came back to town to visit I'd always stop to catch up and just say hello. You will be missed my brother. Prayers to Dena and the girls , Jeanette and Denise. 🙏

I didn't know JP personally.  But from Mike DelGuidice Live On The Porch on Facebook that's how I knew him. Everything Mike played "Blackbird" by Paul Mccartney "JP'S song.  I've spoken to Jp through Facebook messenger or through commenting during Live On The Porch. Joe was a funny guy. I'll always remember that phone conversation mike delguidice had with jp on Mike's aftershow . The weather forecast videos JP did were hilarious.  May you be in peace Joseph N. Pontillo.  You are now in God's arms no longer suffering. As your favorite song "Blackbird" I am going to  use lyric from Blackbird. "Take those wings and learn to fly" May you use your "Wings" and fly to heaven.  I'll miss you my friend.  Rest In Peace. Enjoy spending time with John Lennon.

I will miss you my friend. Growing up in our neighborhood left me with some of my best memories and you are a big part of that. I am glad I reached out when I did and we were able to reminisce over great childhood memories. Thinking of you back in those days always.
