Richard G. Buenaventura, of Mastic, passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on December 31, 1947, in Manhattan, Richard lived a life filled adventure, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Richard was the beloved father of Richard G. Buenaventura Jr. and his wife, Tina. He was a loving grandfather to Mary Lorraine Buenaventura and a dear grandfather to Clease Jameson Allen, Emily Rose Vertucci, Olivia Joanne Roberts, and Frankie John-Jai Roberts. He was also the adored brother of Cindy Anderson and her husband, Richard.
Richard had a passion for traveling and especially enjoyed cruising and visiting Las Vegas. He loved spending time playing pool and working on his cars.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM.
Richard’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
