Thomas Joseph Boyce Jr., of Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 19, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, Thomas was a devoted partner, loving father, proud brother, and cherished friend to many.
Thomas was the beloved partner of Darlene H. Kramer and the loving father of the late Patrick Boyce. He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Boyce III; his brothers, Francis P. Boyce (Maria) and John Boyce (Elaine); and many dear nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for family. Thomas is also predeceased by his sister, Maureen Huisman.
A man of integrity and dedication, Thomas served as an Air Traffic Controller before continuing his career at Verizon. His work ethic was matched only by his love for the outdoors—he found joy in hunting, fishing, and target shooting. Thomas was also an active member of several community organizations, including the Elks, Moose, and the Peconic River Sportsman Association.
Years ago, he made a lasting impact on the youth of his community by founding the Port Jefferson Little League Team, creating a space for young athletes to grow and thrive. He was passionate about giving back and took pride in the relationships he built through his community involvement.
Thomas will be remembered for his generous spirit, love for his family, and dedication to everything he pursued in life.
A memorial visitation for Thomas will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 10 AM at the Infant Jesus Chapel at St. Charles, 200 Belle Terre Road, Port Jefferson, NY 11777. Committal service and interment of ashes to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590.
