David Joe Garcia, 32, of Port Lavaca, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021. He was born in Port Lavaca to David Joe Garcia and Melissa Hernandez on June 15, 1988. David married his beloved Monica on March 10, 2018. He worked as an Electrician most of his young life, most recently acquiring a position with Formosa Plastics.
David enjoyed spending evenings cooking for family and competing in BBQ competitions. He took every chance he could to perfect his skills. David lived life to the fullest and everyone around him knew it. He would light up a room with his infectious smile and loud obnoxious noises. David's true passion were the loves of his life, Monica and his daughter Niellee. On their off time, you could find them traveling around Texas sampling popular BBQ spots, at an rv park, or being a family at home with his beloved dog Cojo.
In addition to his parents, and wife, Monica, he is survived by daughter, Niellee; sisters, Kimberly (Jose) Cano, Kim (Joseph) Bernal, April (Lorenzo) Garcia, and Miranda Garcia, and brother; Roland (Jaclyn) Hernandez, and grandmother; Ofelia Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 5-7 p.m.at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, immediately followed by interment at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
The Pallbearers are Justin Briseno, Bobby Lambright, Alex Garcia, Brandt Boone, Tyler McAfee, Xavier Bernal, Lino Garcia, and Josh Peppers
Honorary Pallbearers are Jose Cano, Roland Hernandez, Joseph Bernal, Lorenzo Rodriguez, Nikolas Arroyo, Aidan Rubio, and Josh Smalley.
